Continuing with its efforts to educate farmers of backward areas regarding modern techniques of farming and crop insurance cover, Agriculture Department Doda organized an awareness camp under ATMA scheme for women farmers at village Hambal area of Marmat in Doda here today .Haroon Hussain Agriculture Extension officer Mushroom scheme was the chief guest on the occasion whereas Sajad Hussain I/c AEO Marmath block gave an introduction about different schemes run by the department of agriculture. Haroon Hussain AEO Mushroom scheme gave a detailed lecture about Mushroom scheme,he advised the farmers to go for this scheme as this scheme can help them to earn their livelihood.He also gave a brief about apiculture and soil health card scheme and advised the farmers to get their soil tested.At the end of programme Hybrid vegetable seed was also distributed among the farmers free of cost as a good will gesture .The experts also spoke on subsidy related schemes of agriculture, benefits of PMFBY, KCC, soil heath card scheme and apiculture, mushroom cultivation, vegetable crop. The farmers were also assured training by the experts in near future and awareness camp was organized under the guidance of SDAO Pranoo Yogi Raj and overall supervision of Suneel Koul Chief Agriculture officer Doda. Among others ex Sarpanch Suresh Kumar and ex panchs were present on the occasion.
